About GDP Industries
GDP Industries is a Social Enterprise and registered charity with a clear purpose: providing employment opportunities, connection, and support for people living with disability, significantly enriching their lives.
Since our founding in 1965, we’ve remained committed to providing inclusive, safe, and sustainable support in the workplace, where employees thrive. At our North Geelong site, we operate a light-industrial factory and second-hand store, providing long-term supported work, training, and work experience.
More Than Just Employment
Beyond supported work, we offer work experience programs in partnership with schools such as Geelong Grammar, St Joseph’s College, and Nelson Park, ensuring young people with disabilities gain valuable, hands-on experience.
We also collaborate with the Geelong business community to provide a diverse range of commercial services that drive employment opportunities. Many are surprised by the breadth of work we do—every GDP service is designed to create meaningful work for our team while delivering real value to our partners and the wider community.
Sustainability at Our Core
A core part of our operations is in materials recovery and reuse. For over 20 years, we’ve managed the City of Greater Geelong’s Resource Recovery Centre, diverting reusable materials from landfill and giving them new life. Many organisations and individuals also contribute by dropping off materials directly at our site.
